Zine Design about Flirting Violence

Editorial Design Project - A Collaborative Zine
The aim of the project: Designing together - Visual communication for a cause

Theme: Flirting Violence
A zine is a publication of original or appropriated texts and images, produced by a single person or a small group. The term encompasses any self-published unique work of minority interest, usually reproduced via photocopier. Zines are known to come in limited editions and target a specific audience. Rather than focusing on profit, the goal of zines is free expression and creativity.
The purpose was to design a zine that focuses on a specific social issue. The aim is to inform and raise awareness by using the power of design and visual communication. Me and my teammates worked both individually and as an editorial team. The zine came up to be a collaborative work and function as a single piece of editorial design.

We first did a topic discussion and then we selected it as dating violence which is a global problem for all women. We did rough layouts, prepared the contents and finalized our layouts both individually and as a team. On one side we created our own design with personal style for each and on the other hand, we tried to create a general visual language that fits to all and concluded the zine in a harmonious way.
Thank you!
